Reparations

In light of the recent protests in American and around the world in response to George Floyd's murder and centuries of racial discrimination, the Hanoi Philosophy Forum will spend this week exploring the arguments for and against paying reparations to the descendants of slaves. Though this exploration will primarily revolve around the United States, its implications can be applied to any country with a history of enslavement or colonialism.

Wrap-up

Special thanks to our panelists Charles Henry. We had 34 attendees representing 14 countries, about 12% of whom were first-timers. 5138 minutes (that's more than 3.5 days) collectively spent discussing race relations in America and the world. More detailed data on our Facebook page.
